Chocoholic.com DeBrand Chocolate Valentine Review and Giveaway!

Chocoholic.com Debrand valentine chocolate giveaway

Life is sweet!  I mean that literally - especially when I get to do a second review and giveaway from one of my favorite places - Chocoholic.com!  I was absolutely ecstatic when I did a Chocoholic.com Godiva Chocolate review in December for the Holiday Season, and now that a new holiday is upon us, I am so happy that I  get to do a Valentine's review as well...oh my hips!

Chocoholic.com is a mouth-watering place that features some of the finest chocolates.  I had so much fun looking around on their website.  My buddy at  Chocoholic.com sent me decadent DeBrand chocolates this time. But first, here is a little information about Chocoholic.com from their website:
Chocoholic.com giveaway
Chocoholic.com was on the Internet way before the Internet was cool.  Two entrepreneurs Stephanie Fohn and Jennie Leavell started Chocoholic.com in 1996, when the Internet was little more than the latest craze amongst computer savvy techies. Believing the Internet was the wave of the future Stephanie and Jennie set out to develop a web site for ardent chocoholics and recruited a number of forward thinking artisanal chocolatiers to their site. During the early Internet days leading up to 2001/2002 many others decided to jump into internet chocolate sales, seeking quick wealth. Fortunately (or unfortunately for them) most of these companies were swept away by the infamous "dot.com bust". Chocoholic.com which emphasized great products, outstanding service and self sustaining growth, survived and continues to thrive by sticking to the basics. In 2006 Chocoholic.com celebrated it's 10th Anniversary, a notable achievement in the nascent world of Internet commerce. With a wide selection of artisanal chocolatiers and experienced customer service staff on the east and west coast, Chocoholic.com offers you fast and efficient service. So when you're looking for the best in chocolate, remember: Chocoholic.com is "your connection to the world of premium chocolate".
Now - on to my review!  I received the DeBrand Valentine Duo for my review.  I eagerly awaited it's arrival (just as I did last time!).  It came shipped with cooling materials, to ensure freshness.  It was packed so neatly, I really hated to take it all apart.  The packaging of the gift itself was gorgeous.  Included in my package were a half pound heart box of DeBrand Classic Chocolates, a 12 piece box of Truffles and a chocolate "Valentine" bar.  I am working my way through the candy as I type this, so pardon any chocolate smudges you might find on this post LOL.

The heart shaped box (Debrand Classic Collection) contained delicacies such as Maple Nut Cream, Gourmet PB and J (yes - peanut butter and jelly - oh my!), Orange Cream, Mocha Cream, Chocolate Silk, and my very favorite - Caramel Apple Cream *swoon*, and more. My daughter helped herself to a couple of pieces, but I did get to try a few too.  Each and every piece was heavenly.  There is no mistaking good quality chocolate (and believe me - I know my chocolate).  The milk chocolate was silky, smooth and oh so delicious.  The fillings were made with top notch ingredients too.  The dark chocolate pieces were perfect - not bitter at all...just incredibly tasty. Oh, and pardon the picture below - if you look closely, you will see that a couple of pieces are missing.  I have no willpower, and I ate a few  pieces before remembering to take a picture.  I'm sure you understand.

Next I dived into the beautiful box of truffles.  Twelve beautifully decorated truffles.  Included were the following truffles: Key Lime, Macadamia Nut, Mocha, Raspberry, White Pecan, Deluxe Nut, Coconut, Caramel, Black and White, Almond, Dark Chocolate and Milk Chocolate.  At the risk of going into a sugar coma, I thought it best to try only one of the truffles at this time.  I decided to add some white chocolate to my chocolate party, and chose the Key Lime Truffle.  How do I describe this?  Sweet and tart, but not too tart, rich but not overwhelming. The White Chocolate coating was divine, and the center  was so good.  If this one truffle is an indication (which I think it is) of how good the rest of them will be, I am in big trouble!

Chocoholic.com also has many other chocolate choices too. They offer the best collection of chocolates from fine chocolate companies - Ghirardelli, Ethel's, Godiva and DeBrand, just to name a few.  They carry chocolate gift baskets and other chocolate gifts which are perfect for Valentine's and every other occasion.

There is still time to order for Valentine delivery! Remember your sweetheart this Valentine's Day - Chocoholic.com is your source for chocolate Valentine gifts!  They even carry nut free, sugar-free, dairy free and kosher offerings for those with dietary restrictions. There is also a Chocolate of the Month at Chocoholic.com.  They also have a handy reminder service to help you remember those important birthdays, anniversaries and other special events!

A reminder to all chocoholics: Always eat chocolate responsibly and don't unwrap chocolate while driving!
