Lovely, like it's not enough we pay triple for our beloved stickers to put on our license plates. I spent six hours getting smog, a drivers license, tags and plates for my car when I moved back. Unfortunately, California is driving a lot of businesses and people away with it's taxing policies. It's awful. The legislature is completely out of touch with the people who vote for them (in fact, they stab them in the backs ... or in the wallets. Kind of the same thing.)

Ridiculous! I feel your pain because, I am a Califonia native and it's hard enough to make it before all of the extra taxes and such. There are personal reasons for my leaving CA and I really don't miss it there except for family/friends we left behind.

I moved to MS in mid-2006 and here, we don't pay CRV. We do however, pay taxes on EVERYTHING we buy...food, drinks, etc.
